On January 23, 成人伦理 President Naoshi Sugiyama attended the Japan-India University Forum, a meeting with leaders of 10 Indian and 22 Japanese universities and organizations. The purpose was to expand cooperation between Indian and Japanese universities and increase the听sharing of expertise between the two countries in particular scientific fields. The Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) organized the event.听听

"Even though India is the second largest country by population, in 2021, only 29 of our over 2,000 international students were from India,"听said President Sugiyama. "The key to attracting undergraduate students will be to offer听our G30 English language degree programs, while for graduate students, it will be to provide听financial support and partnerships with companies in the Tokai region that want to expand into India. International Indian students and cooperation with Indian universities represent a new frontier for Nagoya University."听
