In September 2023, seven female students from 成人伦理 participated in the first part of the Women's Cybersecurity Engagement Program at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, an initiative supported by the U.S. Embassy Tokyo that aims to help young women enter the growing field of cybersecurity.

In December, we were pleased to welcome UNC students to 成人伦理 for the second part of the program. Six UNC students, with backgrounds ranging from computer science to international relations, attended special lectures, participated in simulated cybersecurity risk scenarios, and spent time with 成人伦理 students, including trying out real Japanese karaoke and participating in Lego-based problem-solving challenges organized by the 成人伦理 Lego Club!

The UNC students, accompanied by three of the 成人伦理 students who traveled to the U.S. in September, also met with 成人伦理 President Naoshi Sugiyama and THERS Chancellor Seiichi Matsuo to provide feedback and discuss future plans for the program.
